flashgordon

Not this Flash, this Flash was classic.  Do you remember the movie? Hell yah psych-funk soundtrack.  I’m talking about sites that have gang of flash.  The bells and whistles of web design. Flash is cool to some point if its only in your splash page, but when it is all over you site and every button is moving, ahhh c’mon.  Give me the meat and minus the grey pupon?  Majority of the sites i lurk on have none to minimum of flash.  Don’t believe the hype.  Keep it simple and direct.

thewackness

Don’t believe the Hype.  The hype that this is a Golden Era-Boom Bap flick.  The hype that the soundtrack is a 90’s Hip-hop Classic.  Nah, its about this teenager trying to get laid, he does, smokes weed, sells weed, sells weed to a creepy wize jewish dude, they bond, he listens to his walkman, wu-tang, biggie, someone dies, and life goes on – in cycles son!  From what i read, i thought it was going to be more like the movie “KIDS” – skateboarding, tagging, getting high, hip-hop, raves, harassment, stupid sh*t.  If you look beyond the “Rap” the story is actually intriguing.

What else is wackness…kids quiting graffiti so they can do canvases and get art shows!  Been hearing this a lot lately.  Its almost like they use graffiti to use it on their resume or to say “yah i used to do graffiti”.  Writers that started doing galleries, making toys, designing clothes, came from a natural progression.  I can say 100% of OG writers that now are successfully (Buff Monster, KAWS, Woes, Futura, Stash, DugOne) never thought after their first year of Bombing, “Yah i think i am going to quit bombing to start doing Art Galleries”  Heck no, it was thru necessity, opportunity, smarts, and financial possibilities.  All these reason stemmed from their work, respect, and fame in the streets.  If your dope the streets will talk for you!  Who wouldn’t pay to see a KATCH, QUEST, or ASALT art show. So don’t do it! You never really loved Graffiti or Art!  Stick to painting in the ditches, taking flicks, posting it on myspace, and be content with that.  Cause ditches don’t talk, they just stink…

Yup, this is my 14th song for V-day. Yup, super late. And, Yup its not a song. Its two of the dopest B-Girls yet. I first saw this video on bboyworld.com.  Since then i have been looking for it.  Finally, captured.  What is not to love about 2 B-girls that can dance and look fine.  Also, this ties into beat freaks…they gonna win it all.  Shoots, glad i rapped up the V-day thing.

Slimkid got that west coast breath control!  This song is the a classic joint.  Slims patterns and content create a seamless song that is one of the most slept on “Love” songs in Hip-Hop.  I hope yall checked out Slim Kid’s solo efforts.  He never lost his steam, still flowing and jazzy.

I was just talking to ??? about how i used to sample my own hand claps and hits on random ish to make beats.  These cats took it to that level.  The chorus is hella cornball and the zipper scratch i could of done with out.  Overall, this track bangs and there are alot of producer kicking them self in the ase for not capitolizing on this common producer trick.

Dang, Love songs is supposed to be uplifting.  This song is sweetness.  Although most of us cannot relate to the environment they live in, the lyrics seem to translate to a female that we used to digg on.  Livicated to Freaky Tah!

Hands down one of the dopest or the dopest producer to ever live. Really no argument there. P and CL could craft perfect songs about life, streets, and love without sounding corny. This is one of the few happy love songs in Hip-Hop that doesn’t end all morbid and depressing. Legends.

The Grouch got dem chick songs. His outlook on Females is spot on what alot of guys are thinking. “How can something so good be so evil, something so right be so wrong”  This goes out to all who thought they had the “one” but somehow it went wrong.  Keep searching!

This is the classic and timeless jam. You could ride to this at anytime of day. In the morning, pop in the instrumental and kick some stupid rhymes about females. In the afternoon, after you finish eating and your falling asleep on the wheel going back to work, wishing you could just go home and “Hawaiian Paralyses”. At night right before you hit that spot, no not that spot. Last, after a long night a a event, roll down the windows, put the volume to 10.
