Not this Flash, this Flash was classic. Do you remember the movie? Hell yah psych-funk soundtrack. I’m talking about sites that have gang of flash. The bells and whistles of web design. Flash is cool to some point if its only in your splash page, but when it is all over you site and every button is moving, ahhh c’mon. Give me the meat and minus the grey pupon? Majority of the sites i lurk on have none to minimum of flash. Don’t believe the hype. Keep it simple and direct.
Don’t believe the Hype. The hype that this is a Golden Era-Boom Bap flick. The hype that the soundtrack is a 90’s Hip-hop Classic. Nah, its about this teenager trying to get laid, he does, smokes weed, sells weed, sells weed to a creepy wize jewish dude, they bond, he listens to his walkman, wu-tang, biggie, someone dies, and life goes on – in cycles son! From what i read, i thought it was going to be more like the movie “KIDS” – skateboarding, tagging, getting high, hip-hop, raves, harassment, stupid sh*t. If you look beyond the “Rap” the story is actually intriguing.
What else is wackness…kids quiting graffiti so they can do canvases and get art shows! Been hearing this a lot lately. Its almost like they use graffiti to use it on their resume or to say “yah i used to do graffiti”. Writers that started doing galleries, making toys, designing clothes, came from a natural progression. I can say 100% of OG writers that now are successfully (Buff Monster, KAWS, Woes, Futura, Stash, DugOne) never thought after their first year of Bombing, “Yah i think i am going to quit bombing to start doing Art Galleries” Heck no, it was thru necessity, opportunity, smarts, and financial possibilities. All these reason stemmed from their work, respect, and fame in the streets. If your dope the streets will talk for you! Who wouldn’t pay to see a KATCH, QUEST, or ASALT art show. So don’t do it! You never really loved Graffiti or Art! Stick to painting in the ditches, taking flicks, posting it on myspace, and be content with that. Cause ditches don’t talk, they just stink…
